What is a chair massage?

Chair massages are massages given in a specially-designed chair for optimal comfort and coverage while maintaining privacy and public decency. Usually lasting around 15-20 minutes, this form of massage helps relieve tension from the most problematic areas such as your back, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. Facing forward, the client enjoys an over the clothing massage that reduces stress and has been proven to show dramatic results.

I like the idea. Do I need to wear special clothing?

Since chair massages are geared towards public areas such as malls, offices, and parties, all massages are given on top of clothing. For this reason, no special attire is required; you can wear whatever makes you happy.

Do chair massages involve oils?

Since chair massages are performed on top of clothing, no oils or creams are used during the process. During the hand massage portion of the session, a light lotion may be used for a smoother experience, but this is not necessary if that is not your preference. Let us know what you prefer, and we’ll accommodate you.

What forms of payment are acceptable?

That depends on the type of massage program you sign up for. For the corporate massage program, once we've agreed to payment terms, we accept company check, bank transfer, or company credit card.

For individual treatments, cash or check at the time of the massage is the easiest method of payment for everyone involved, however, we also accept payment through PayBox or PayPal if necessary.

Do therapists expect tips?

Our massage therapists do not expect tips as this is generally included in the price. So while you are welcome to show your appreciation above the massage price, tips are not required.

Where are chair massages given?

Wherever you like! These chairs are designed to fit into almost any space, so you can enjoy a chair massage in your living room, in a conference room, or even in an empty cubicle.

How long is the massage session?

We specialize in customizing our services to fit your needs, so be in touch with a massage therapist to discuss your options. Standard chair massages run between 15-20 minutes.

When do I have to book a massage?

On-premise massages will be scheduled according to your office requirements. Talk to your manager or HR personnel if you require specific times and slots.

Are chair massages sanitary?

All of our equipment, supplies, and staff members adhere to the highest level of cleanliness and sanitary standards. Each massage practitioner washes his/her hands thoroughly with disinfectant before each massage, and the equipment is cleaned in between uses. The face rest is cleaned with a natural solvent for sensitive skin and new disposable covers are used for each massage.

I have problem areas. Can the therapist focus on my achy spots?

Sure! Simply specify your preferences in the required pre-massage questionnaire and our professionals will take care of the rest.

Do the massages make you tired?

Quite the opposite, chair massages invigorate you, giving you more focus and an easier time staying alert, while still relaxing your muscles and your mind.

Can I still get a chair massage if I am pregnant?

Definitely. In fact, it’s encouraged. Chair massages can help alleviate common aches and pains of pregnancy and help ease stress tension in the body. Just make sure to let your massage therapist know that you are pregnant, even in the early months, so he/she can avoid any problematic areas while alleviating your stress.

Is there any reason not to get a chair massage?

Yes. You want to make sure you are medically fit for a massage as certain conditions may prevent you from taking part in the program. Conditions can include:

  • Diabetes that is not being cared for properly
  • Numbness to parts of the body
  • Tingling sensations in areas of the body
  • Hypertension
  • Herniated discs
  • Fractures
  • Malignancy

This is not a comprehensive list, so please indicate any health conditions that you may have before beginning your massage.
